Chakra Product and Category Page Content Strategy
12 February 2026 | Projects
Summary:
A comprehensive 7-month content standardization and UX improvement project was carried out to bring the "touch and feel" experience of Chakra's physical stores into the digital world. Chakra is a premium brand, and through the strategy we developed as Digimar Consultancy, we strengthened product perception, reduced return rates, and increased conversion rates.
Case Study:
Known for its high-end product quality and premium pricing, Chakra had always been able to successfully convey that quality to customers through the in-store experience. However, this experience wasn't translating well to the brand's digital presence on Chakra.com.tr, where two core issues stood out:
-
Missing the Physical Experience: It's inherently difficult for customers to sense a product's texture and quality while shopping online.
-
Perceived Quality Gap: The digital storefront wasn't fully capturing the brand's premium identity, falling short when it came to highlighting product quality.
To address this, Chakra.com.tr needed clear "Product Page Content Standards" that would better emphasize product quality. Working closely with Chakra's e-commerce and product teams, we at Digimar Consultancy built a complete "Content Strategy Guide" from the ground up.
Here's the methodology we followed:
1. Competitive Content Analysis
We analyzed the content of global and local competitor brands within Chakra's core categories (towels, bedding, personal care, etc.).
2. Category Page Modules and Standards
We defined the key modules that should appear on category pages:
-
Category banner
-
Category description copy
-
Subcategory links
-
Subcategory banners
3. Ideal Filter Structure
We established the optimal category filter structure, based on:
-
Product attributes
-
Compatibility with SAP definitions and alignment with in-store systems
4. Product Title Standards
We set clear standards for product titles:
-
Short and compelling
-
Benefit-driven
-
Conveys material and style
5. Product Description Standards
We established a standard structure for product description paragraphs:
-
Opening (an emotional hook)
-
Description of the product's appearance
-
Communicating material and quality
-
Design, size/measurements, and color details
-
Certifications
-
Use cases
-
Country of manufacture
-
Care and washing instructions
6. "Why You'll Love It" Blog Content
We created dedicated blog/info sections for each product to clearly communicate customer benefits.

3. Product Image Standards (Visual Guideline)
We created a visual guideline defining what each product image should show and in what order:
-
Plain Background: A clean, clear view of the product.,
-
Detail Shot: Highlights texture and material quality.
-
Lifestyle Shot: Captures the product's atmosphere in use.
-
Texture/Softness Close-Up: Conveys the feel of the product.
-
Alternative Angles: Additional viewpoints.

4- We prepared a touch guide. Innovative guides were prepared to digitize the sense of touch, which is the biggest shortcoming of e-commerce. Thus, we prepared a guideline so that the features of products can be better compared and felt on the online page.

5- Combination suggestions were prepared . We determined which products could be recommended together. This increased cross-selling.
6- We determined the blog topics to be written on category and product pages. This way, we both strengthened our SEO and were able to provide customers with more information.
7- We established size and sizing guides. This allowed customers to have clearer information about measurements. As a result, we reduced customer hesitation, increased conversion rates, and decreased return rates.
8- We provided product usage and maintenance instructions. We explained the areas of use of the products more clearly. We presented the ideal methods of using the products to customers.
9- We clearly displayed the certifications. This allowed us to communicate to our customers the functional advantages of our products, their suitability for health, and their sustainability.
Key Results and Achievements
This strategic transformation has resulted in measurable successes in Chakra’s digital operations:
• Increased Conversion Rate: Reduced customer hesitancy (size, texture, usage) accelerated purchasing decisions.
• Decreased Return Rates : Thanks to the transparent communication of product details and usage instructions, customer expectations were aligned with the actual product.
• SEO and Organic Traffic: Search engine visibility (SEO) was strengthened with category and product-based blog content.
• Emphasis on Sustainability: The clear display of certifications highlighted the brand's identity as an eco-friendly and healthy product.
